Hello all,
I am just returning from one of the best Burger joints around. 5 Guys, they are located in a few states and NJ is one of them. From the free, shell your own peanuts, to the 50 lb sacks of real potatoes stacked neatly in a row. It all gets your juices flowing for what's coming next... All fresh beef,  potatoes and condiments. The quality is there and it shows in the taste of the food.Â
Their burgers are  made to order, with a wide varity of toppings. You can combo up your own burger creation, all with great flavor and finish. The Cajin fries are to die for, a small...

I recently stumbled upon this story posted about LaFrieda Wholesale Meats. This place is the Mecca of meat. If you are a steak or burger lover and enjoy dinners out in trendy NYC hot spots, this is where most of your meat is coming from. Take a look at this and learn a little about a true old school NYC butcher shop. It has grown into a major operation supplying the city that never sleeps. I have learned that the LaFrieda's are fantastic people. Congratulations on all your success guys.
I wonder if the LaFrieda's would like to join us on our next STEAKNIGHT.Â

The perfect accompaniment to any steak
yields about 2 cups:
Â
Ingredents:
3 Large Sweet Onions
3 Cloves of Garlic
2 Sweet Red Pepper
4 Jalapeño Peppers
4 Banana Peppers
1/4 cup of Balsamic VinegarÂ
3 tablespoons Olive Oil
2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt
Fresh Black Pepper
This is a very simple side to make and tastes unbelievable when eaten with a steak. It can even be put on crusty toast slices for a different twist on a bruschetta.
Chop the garlic, and cut the onions and peppers into thin slices. Usually I take half of the hot peppers and remove the seeds...
