MClaw @steaknightmag My dad is great – never forgets to let his inner child come out & have fun! Shoulda seen him cut a rug at my wedding! Go Dad!
My dad is great because he chose me and he’s loved me and been the best dad. I was nine when I met my parents. I had been abused and was placed into foster care. I had foster homes and though some were loving, none were my family. When I first met my parents I enjoyed getting to know them. I was thrilled when they wanted to adopt my sister and me. I finally had a family. My parents loved and supported my sister and I as we grew and faced struggles from our past and found joy in our lives. I suffered from mental health disorders and was hospitalized. My parents visited me and loved me. Some people suggested they give up on me but my parents refused to. When no one could diagnose my symptoms, my dad joked that it showed I was part of the family. My parents both had severe illnesses that were considered medical mysteries. My mother passed away in 2004. Even in his pain my dad remained the loving, protecting, friend and father he’s always been. He later remarried and he’s done an amazing job of being a part of his wife’s life while still loving and caring for my sister and I. I love my dad and he deserves to win this contest because my dad deserves all of the best things in life. He loves his family in all circumstances. I love him and appreciate all he’s done and everything he’s been.
To add to my comment on the 17th… My Dad was the biggest Michael Jackson fan, which is where he got his love for dancing and he even cut a rug to his song “Billie Jean” at my wedding. My dad is awesome and I know MJ will live on through his music and my dad dancing to his songs every time they are played.
Thank You for your entrys, all submissions from Facebook, Twitter, and STEAKNIGHT Magazine are being reviewed and a winner will be picked shortly.
