Guinness is a dark stout beer that a lot of beer drinkers are a little weary about trying. Some people just don't have the pallet for a stout beer, I agree it is an aquired taste.  I now thourglly enjoy an ice cold Guinness on occasion. This recipe is a gret way to enjoy Guinness, even if you don't prefer to drink it. It is a classic marinade that is full of flavor. The beer in this marinade will give your steaks a subtle earthy flavor that allows the natural delicious flavor of the steak to come through. Try this on a flank steak, london broil, or sirloin.Â

1 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 Tablespoons Granulated Garlic
3 Cloves Garlic Chopped
2 Tablespoons Dried Thyme
3/4 Cup Fresh Parsley ChoppedÂ

It can be used on just about any cut of meat. To get the steaks just perfect there are two parts to this marinade, a dry rub, Â and a wet marinade. Follow the instructions and ENJOY!

Inspired by a New Orleans Steakhouse.

Sauce for artichokes:
1 cup  Balsamic vinegar,
1/4 cup of soy sauce,
garlic powder to taste

If you want to make it a low calorie side dish, replace sugar with  sweet n low (4 packets) .Â
Clean the artichokes by cutting off the pinch parts. (tips of each leaf) A good tip is to use a scissor for the outside leaves. then steam the artichokes until tender. Try not to have any water touching the artichokes. Mix all the ingredients together. Cut artichokes in...

The ongoing argument of marination.
The length of time you are marinating plays an important role on the final outcome. I would have to agree that it is simply crazy to marinate a $40 Prime Rib Eye for 3 days. The beauty of an expensive cut of meat it that they are delicious all by itself. But personally I would have no problem throwing a marinade on a good steak overnight.
A simple cider vinegar based marinade can take a good steak and send it to the moon. The acid in the vinegar will help tenderize the meat and make the steak soft and delicious.
A couple of key ingredients to have...
