Bonappetit.com introduces a way to kick up your corn on the cob this 4th of July! This recipe is a delicious twist on the old stand by corn on the cob. I agree that corn on the cob with a little butter and salt is great all by itself, but every once in a while it's fun to bring things to another level. Hoisin - a chinese soybean and chili based sauce that adds a bit of spicy sweet flavor to the corn.Â

Delicious pair with Flat-Iron steaks.
Ingredients:
2 Avocados
1/2 Cup Of Softened Butter
1/4 Cup Lime Juice
2 Tablespoons Chopped Parsley
1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
Seed, peel and chop 2 ripe avocados. In a medium bowl combine the chopped avocado, butter, lime juice, parsley, salt, and cayenne pepper. Using a fork , gently mash the ingredients together until thoroughly combined. Pour mixure into a small bowl and chill until almost firm.

1 Garlic Clove Sliced Thin
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar

I am waiting patiently for the end of the day. Thursday is STEAKNIGHT and I am getting my bounty ready for tomorrows feast. The steaks this week are Prime Dry Aged Bone in Rib Eyes. Bought them at my local Foodtown Supermarket, they happen to have a real nice meat department, and they sell Prime Aged steaks there.Â
This week our steaks are going to be marinade free. Just some salt pepper, dried thyme and a little garlic powder. I'm going to try a nice sun dried tomato basil butter.
