I'd never seen the Stone Cali-België IPA in a store in New jersey before, so when I did, I grabbed a bottle of it without knowing much about the beer. Basically the Stone Cali-België IPA is an American IPA fermented with Belgian yeast.

Pour:
The head on this beer can get big quickly, be cautious, but generous as well since it is an IPA and you want a good head to open the aroma.
Appearance:
Thick white head, on top of a clear amber beer. Lots of bubbles rising from the bottom,...

What I have found from drinking Dogfish Head, you'll always get something that is going to push the envelope or at least hit you with a curve ball. The Dogfish Head Immort Ale is considered an American Double, which is basically a high ABV beer catchall category, when a beer doesn't fit anywhere else.
Pour:
As with all beer I pour, started off standard 45° pour, but found there wasn't much head forming. So I turned the glass just shy of vertical and the beer opened up nicely

With each tasting of a Southern Tier beer I have, there is one thing I have come to rely on with this brewing company, they will do something to push the envelop with their beer that works extremely well. When I saw the Southern Tier Iniquity Imperial Black Ale on the shelf for the first time I didn't hesitate to buy a couple bottles. I love to try different and unique styles of beer and that is exactly what Southern Tier has been producing.

So last night was yet another successful STEAKNIGHT. I made my weekly trip to the liquor store and walked over to my favorite section. That section consists of all their rated beers. I grab a couple of the old faithfuls, Aventinus that is. I look left and notice A Sam Adams bottle in my rated section. The large bottle with the embossed silver label is what caught my attention. I was so curious to see what it was all about, plus chocolate and beer was definitely intriguing. I grab hold of the bottle and noticed the price $13.99 for each 750-milliliter bottle Oooff! I contemplated putting...

Please allow me the privilege to introduce to you one of the greatest beers I have ever had the honor of tasting. Ladies and gentleman I give you the Aventinus wheat doppelbock. A STEAKNIGHT regular since day one.
If you enjoy "good beer" this one will make it to the top of your list. All it takes is one taste and you will be hooked. Pour your Aventinus into a chilled glass and right away you get a great wheat smell, not burnt and to sweet like many american wheat beers.
Take your first...
